This role involves the efficient loading and unloading of delivery vehicles within the warehouse, requiring a keen attention to detail when receiving packages and cartons. Additionally, responsibilities may include moving and shipping products in accordance with provided task instructions. Proficiency in basic computer skills is necessary, with a preference for candidates familiar with web-based warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Forklift certification is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to established processes to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Utilize appropriate equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) to load and unload trailers.
- Pack and unpack products efficiently.
- Perform counting and weighing of products as needed, applying basic math skills.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse, following best practices for material handling.
- Verify product information for accuracy using Excel and Word documents.
- Meet established productivity standards within the warehouse.
- Assist other departments and perform additional duties as required.
- Accurately enter data related to shipments and inventory into designated systems.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience:
- 6-12 months of warehouse experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to follow instructions and operate small hand tools and general office equipment.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet customer needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Self-discipline and reliability.
- Team-oriented with a strong attendance record.
- Awareness and adherence to safety standards and practices.
- Commitment to maintaining 5S standards in all activities.
- Basic inventory knowledge is preferred.
