Job Title: Surgical Technologist

At Northwell Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of a sterile field
  • Pass and count instruments and supplies during surgery
  • Prepare the operating room for surgery, including setting up equipment and supplies
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures, including maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments
  • Dispose of soiled linens and debris, and sterilize instruments according to terminal technique
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • AAS Degree in Operating Room Technology (preferred)
  • Certification by Association of Operating Room Technicians (required)
  • Successful completion of a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technology, and holds and maintains a certified surgical technologist (CST) credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
