**Job Title:** Senior Litigation Paralegal
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Litigation Paralegal to join our team at SourcePro Search, LLC based in Washington, DC. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with at least 5 years of paralegal experience and a strong background in litigation.
ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with trial, arbitration, and mediation. Proficiency in cite-checking and Bluebooking is essential. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing work efficiently and cost-effectively to allow the firm to collect fees for such work;
- Meeting expectations of billable hours target of 1,725 (unless otherwise specified);
- Coordinating, organizing, preparing, and interpreting complex legal documents related to litigation matters under the supervision of an attorney;
- Building and maintaining relevant databases and files;
- Filing documents and providing copies to relevant parties;
- Organizing, reviewing, and maintaining documents and case files; compiling documents for filing with courts and agencies;
- Preparing and commencing ECF filings;
- Conducting electronic document reviews, coordinating productions of documents with attorneys; conducting searches of production databases for relevant documents; and conducting other related eDiscovery tasks;
- Assisting attorneys with preparation of materials for depositions;
- Performing factual research in internal and external databases and libraries;
- Coordinating trial preparation; attending trial and providing support to attorneys at court and agency hearings; coordinating logistics, including local/remote set-up and travel arrangements;
- Partnering and coordinating with internal resources and outside vendor services;
- Coordinating with other areas/departments of the Firm where overlap exists to develop efficient procedures/communications to streamline processes and satisfy various department needs;
- Working overtime as required; traveling as required; and
- Handling additional related projects as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 5 years of Paralegal experience;
- At least 5 years' litigation experience;
- Trial/Arbitration/Mediation experience;
- ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate (preferred);
- Proficiency in MS Outlook and web-based conference call/web-sharing applications;
- Proficiency in MS Word and document editing/comparison applications;
- Proficiency in MS Excel and spreadsheet/database applications;
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and presentation applications;
- Experience with transcript management applications (LiveNote);
- Proficiency with cite-checking/bluebooking;
- Proficiency in online research and internet search resources (LexisNexis/Westlaw), as well as utilizing PACER, CM/ECF, and other electronic court and agency databases;
- Knowledge of relevant jurisdictional/court/agency processes and procedures;
- Experience with timekeeping and expense reporting applications;
- Knowledge of legal billing processes.
