About the Role

The Bedford Post Tavern is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high-quality standards of our kitchen are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare menu items according to recipes and yield guides, adhering to the standards set by our executive chef.
  • Restock ingredients and items that were depleted during the shift, maintaining a well-stocked and organized kitchen.
  • Ensure the maintenance of sanitation standards in the kitchen, adhering to all relevant regulations.
  • Inspect the cleanliness and organization of the line and workstations, addressing any deficiencies promptly.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1+ years' experience as a cook in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Culinary Art Degree preferred, but not required.
  • NYC Food Protection Certificate (Food Handler's) is a must.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional hospitality and a commitment to excellence.
  • A team player attitude, willing to assist colleagues as needed.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as business demands.
  • The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs, and be on feet for extended periods.
