Job Summary

As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing floor, ensuring that production targets are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise production floor activities, including coordinating with production workers, machine operators, and maintenance personnel.
  • Allocate tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient resource utilization and optimal production output.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, efficiency goals, and safety protocols.
  • Train new employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Identify and address any production-related issues or bottlenecks that may affect output or quality.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager and/or Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement process improvements for enhanced productivity.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including inventory levels, production rates, and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure that all safety guidelines and regulations are followed by all team members and report any safety concerns to the appropriate departments.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth operations and timely problem-solving.
  • Lead by example, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations for production floor staff, providing feedback and addressing any areas for development.
  • Monitor and manage employee attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company policies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; previous supervisory experience with 2 years of individual contributor experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment, manufacturing processes, and metal fabrication desired.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required to communicate effectively with staff on a professional level.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills required to address production-related issues and improve processes.
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Microsoft Teams.
  • Understanding of Workflows, SolidWorks, and other CAD software desired.
