Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Rea Magnet Wire. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, piping, boiler, steam, cooling tower, and pneumatic equipment and systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery as scheduled.
  • Install, start up, and shut down equipment in accordance with Rea safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
  • Advises operators on safe working procedures with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
  • Maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
  • Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position requires frequent exposure to fumes, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee may be occasionally exposed to extreme temperatures and loud noise levels.

The physical demands of this job include regular standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, climbing stairs, reaching above and below chest level, and using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds and may be exposed to chemical, non-toxic fumes or dust.

Qualifications
  • 2 to 5 years of proven experience in the mechanical, hydraulic, piping, and pneumatic fields in a manufacturing environment.
  • A thorough knowledge of mechanical equipment and piping systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to become RCRA trained.
  • Mobile Equipment Certification, including all powered industrial trucks, aerial platforms, etc.
Competencies
  • Problem-solving skills for mechanical applications.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, piping, boiler, and steam systems.
  • Preventative maintenance skills.
  • Learning orientation.
