Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Indotronix International Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Lafayette, IN. As a key member of our industrial maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, and documenting the electrical and controls needs of process/production equipment in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair process/production machines, equipment, and related electrical equipment, including electrical control circuits, electro-mechanical test devices, instrumentation devices, PLCs/ladder logic controllers, and variable frequency drives.
  • Calibrate instrumentation equipment and controls for optimum performance.
  • Program, modify, and interface with various MMI (HMI) devices.
  • Leverage proficiency in electronic data communication methods and techniques, including Profibus, profi-net, SCADA, Ethernet, and remote I/O wired and wireless communication platforms.
  • Procure parts from crib systems, OEM, or authorized vendors.
  • Identify and document cost savings.
  • Utilize strong mechanical and electrical skills to complete assignments.
  • Create and modify site operations procedures for equipment and recommend facilities reliability improvements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on process/production equipment as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Respond and provide service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while ensuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Recommend activities to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Understand company policies and enforce safety regulations, safely performing functions of the position, including following proper safety guidelines, such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures, and wearing PPE as required.
  • Operate various measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments to provide energy efficiency solutions.
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including hand tools, laptop computers, and diagnostic hardware, to perform work.
  • Maintain a strict schedule to be successful in the assignment while demonstrating flexibility in day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills, including motivation, delegation, ownership, leading by example, well-developed organizational skills, excellent communication skills, etc.
  • Promote and adhere to the Amentum Safety Structure.
  • Respond to emergencies and immediately stabilize the facility.
  • Monitor facility.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
  • Assist with Root Cause Analysis.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5 years of experience performing mechanical maintenance and repair on production equipment in an industrial environment or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting CNC machine tools and other complex mechanical systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting robotic control systems, such as Fanuc, ABB, etc.
  • Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Technology, Industrial Mechanical, or related technical program.
  • Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial production systems, such as conveyors, Harpoon systems, Coolant systems to OEM specifications.
  • Experience with alignments and timing machines using Precision calibration tools.
  • Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing pumps, motors, gearboxes, supply and exhaust fans, power transmission components, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, Experience troubleshooting and repairing cranes and hoists.
  • Experience utilizing measurement tools, such as micrometers, dial indicators, various type gauges, and calibers, to set tolerances to OEM Specifications.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
  • Ability to work holidays and weekends.
Additional Information:
  • This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
  • This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location.
  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to regularly climb extensions ladders, roof ladder, step ladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
  • Flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.
  • Ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.
  • Ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.
  • Ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.
  • Ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
  • Ability to safely operate an Ariel Lift.
  • Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
  • Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
  • Ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.
  • Ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access databases, send/receive messages, and prepare documents.
  • Demonstrated fluency in computer use, including the full Microsoft product line.
  • Ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
  • Ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings, and presentations.

  • Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
  • Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
