Appliance Service Specialist Job Overview

We are seeking a full-time Service Specialist to join our team at Marvin Home Center in Warroad, MN. As a Service Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering and installing appliances for customers, providing basic operation instructions, and troubleshooting appliances in need of repair.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivery and installation of appliances for customers
  • Attachment of duct work, water lines, and wiring connections
  • Troubleshoot appliances needing repair, order parts, and install when needed
  • Test repaired appliances prior to leaving the customer's home to ensure repairs are satisfactory
  • Maintain record keeping on service calls/repairs
  • Prepare and submit invoices for warranty repairs
Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional attitude and courtesy when engaging with customers, vendors, and fellow associates
  • Ability to listen to customers and provide helpful solutions or recommendations
  • Empathy for customers' concerns regarding appliance breakdowns
  • Experience with hand and power tools, testing equipment, and diagnosing repairs
  • Quality workmanship, leaving appliances clean and work areas tidy
Additional Requirements:
  • Class C Driver's license with a good record and a health card
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day
  • Performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions
  • Lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds
  • Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and turning
  • Climbing stairs and/or ladders and working in elevated areas
