Job Title: Documentation Specialist

Job Summary:

Loyal Source Government Services is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Documentation Specialist to create, manage, and maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation for our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, and edit high-quality documentation that is easy to understand and appropriate for its intended audience.
  • Produce standard operation procedures (SOPs), policy and training documents in addition to other technical documents.
  • Ensure consistency in style, tone, and quality across all documentation.
  • Work closely with managers, developers, and subject matter experts to gather and understand technical information.
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure documentation is up-to-date with appropriate changes and enhancements.
  • Continuously review and update existing documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders to improve documentation.
  • Organize documentation logically and ensure it is easily accessible to users.
  • Manage documentation repositories and ensure proper version control.
  • Ensure proper distribution of documents to all stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams and end-users on how to use documentation effectively.
  • Assist in the creation of multimedia content (videos, tutorials) to complement written documents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical writing or a similar role.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency with documentation tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, Confluence, MadCap Flare).
  • Familiarity with content management systems and version control.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Pay and Benefits:

$21.63/hr.

Work Environment:

This role will largely be remote based, so the employee should ensure they have a personal working space that is adequate to meet the demands of the position.

The employee will likely be requested to travel based on operational needs.

The physical demands of this role align with general office work.
