We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in the Crawfordsville, IN area for the upcoming school year.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments for students under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, as directed by the Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support the implementation of effective communication strategies and support plans.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs under the guidance of a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, treatment plans, and other required documentation as directed by the Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Assist in providing training and support to school staff and parents on speech and language development and intervention strategies.
- Stay current with research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Education: Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in Indiana.
- Certification: ASHA certification for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
