Compensation Overview:

The salary range mentioned above indicates the minimum and maximum potential earnings for this role. Various factors, including individual skills, qualifications, and relevant experience, will influence the specific placement within this range. Typically, new hires are positioned below the midpoint of the salary range.

For those considering PRN roles, please note that compensation is calculated differently compared to Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN rates are determined by the specific role and other factors, including experience and shift commitments as per departmental policies. Additional PRN differentials may apply in certain roles.

Position Summary:

Under the guidance of the Medical Director and/or Laboratory Director, the Anatomic Pathology Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the Anatomic Pathology Department.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Completion of a Pathologists Assistant training program or equivalent on-the-job experience

Desirable:

  • At least six months of recent experience in a hospital setting
  • Certification as a Pathologists Assistant (ASCP)
