Aviation Command and Control Specialist

Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is in search of an Aviation Command and Control Specialist to assist in the design, planning, and execution of military exercises at the MEF/MEB level.
Essential Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Security Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility
- Experience in the Combat Operations Division within a CAOC/AOC/JAOC is mandatory
- Prior military pilot or navigator/Naval Flight Officer with specialization in air defense operations is essential
- Completion of Intermediate Service School is required
- Experience in drafting orders in accordance with CJCSM A, 4 February 2019, Planning and Execution Formats and Guidance
- Familiarity with and operational experience in deploying and utilizing aviation units
- Understanding of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the operational command level is necessary
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on operational concepts and plans; analyze Air Operations processes
- Provide coaching and mentorship to the training audience up to the O-6 MEF Assistant Chief of Staff level
- Collaborate with the training audience to identify training objectives and ensure their integration into the exercise scenario
- Serve as the lead air defense planner within the exercise design team
- Adapt work hours to accommodate extended hours during events
- Act as the AOC Senior Air Defense Officer (SADO) during exercises
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
- Direct involvement in real-world operations is preferred
- Recent Active-Duty experience (within the last 5 years) in an AOC leadership position is advantageous
- Mid-Senior-Level - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 12+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook is required
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are essential
