Job Description

At Teach N Tots Inc, we strive to create a positive and safe learning environment for young children. The Lead Teacher provides a comfortable space for the students to explore and grow.

Duties
  • Implement a variety of educational techniques to teach children, including storytelling, educational play, and media.
  • Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
  • Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments.
  • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum.
  • Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure their safety at all times.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, being alert for their needs and/or problems as individuals and as a group.
  • Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
  • Sanitize toys and play equipment.
  • Observe and monitor children's play activities.
  • Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered.
  • Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
  • Read to children and teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.
  • Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
  • Dress children and change diapers.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, dish washing, and changing of linens.
  • Maintain a safe play environment.
  • Communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
  • Assist in preparing food and serving meals and refreshments to children.
  • Create developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
  • Regulate children's rest periods.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and editing internal paperwork.
Requirements
  • Current State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • A negative TB test dated within the last year.
  • High School Diploma.
  • 6 Months Experience.

  • Food Handlers Card.
  • CPR/ First Aid Card.
