Job SummaryThe RN Safety & Quality Coordinator will lead performance improvement activities for Maternal and Child Health services, including data abstraction, collection, and analytics for participation in performance improvement activities and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate education and development of the WCH team on emerging developments through organizing learning sessions.
- Manage projects focused on achieving clinical performance improvement, strategic imperatives, goals, and objectives.
- Act as a liaison to various organization-wide and medical staff departmental committees where WCH data is relevant.
- Communicate with contracted abstracting services to ensure NCH internal data is managed, abstracted, and delivered in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Maintain compliance with all required reporting, ensuring deadlines are met impacting hospital reimbursement and public healthcare ratings agencies.
- Identify and facilitate solutions to quality issues arising from data analysis.
- Analyze, summarize, and provide written reports to the WCP team, highlighting performance metrics and opportunities.
- Minimum of BSN from an accredited nursing program required.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required; Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida (or obtained within 1 year of hire).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Experience with an electronic medical record preferred.
- Quality data analysis, performance improvement, and lean process experience preferred.
