Job Overview

As a Production Assembler, you will engage in a range of tasks that involve integrating manufactured and procured components into subassemblies or finished products. These items may be mechanical, electrical, or a blend of both. This position offers a pathway to develop the skills needed for advancement to the Advanced Assembler #1 role.

Daily Responsibilities

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Interpreting and utilizing blueprints and routings to create components that meet specified requirements.
  • Ensuring the quality of the assemblies you produce through first piece inspections and ongoing quality checks.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace while performing routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Adhering to all operational protocols regarding machinery and safety measures.
  • Keeping basic records related to productivity, quality, and safety.
Skills for Success

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • The ability to assemble various components into subassemblies or complete products.
  • All necessary tools to perform your job functions effectively.
  • Experience operating assembly machinery such as rivet machines, assembly presses, and power tools.
  • The physical capability to perform tasks that involve frequent standing, sitting, bending, and lifting items up to 30 lbs.
  • Proficient reading and writing skills to follow work instructions and prepare basic production reports.
  • Good visual acuity (corrected) for reading instructions, operating machinery, and inspecting components.
  • Manual dexterity to operate equipment efficiently.
