Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Food and Nutrition Services will play a key role in ensuring the highest quality food service experience for patients, employees, and staff in an Acute Care Hospital or Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in operating the department in accordance with the approved budget, providing maximum value for dollars spent.
  • Direct and conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with patients, the Client, and other departments within the Hospital.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A.A. Degree or related experience preferred.
  • Certified Dietary Manager certificate or Registered Dietitian preferred.
  • Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience is desirable.
  • Supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills.
  • Communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills to include various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, and the Internet.
  • ServSafe Certified.
