Position Overview: District Medical Group, Inc. (DMG) is a prominent multi-specialty faculty practice group seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join the esteemed Valleywise Health Arizona Burn Center in Phoenix.

About the Center: As Arizona's only nationally verified burn center, our facility is part of a multidisciplinary team of medical, surgical, and behavioral health professionals. We are committed to delivering exceptional patient care, managing thousands of cases annually from initial treatment through rehabilitation. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in an academic environment with avenues for research participation.

Employment Details: This is a full-time position with eligibility for benefits, featuring a weekday work schedule.

Compensation and Benefits: DMG provides a supportive work atmosphere along with competitive compensation and benefits, which include:

  • Retirement plan
  • 20 days of paid time off annually plus 10 paid holidays
  • 5 days dedicated to continuing education, along with a generous financial allowance for educational resources

Loan Forgiveness Program: Employment with DMG qualifies providers for participation in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.

Candidate Qualifications: Applicants for the psychologist position must possess a degree in clinical psychology, expertise in health psychology, and be licensed or eligible for licensure in Arizona. The psychologist will play a vital role within the burn care team, engaging in daily rounds and providing both inpatient and outpatient clinical assessments and therapy. Experience in a medical setting is preferred, particularly in treating post-traumatic and pain conditions. Clinical research experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills, teamwork capabilities, and the ability to assess and treat individuals across all age groups. Additionally, candidates should be open to participating in the education of various learners, including medical and nursing students, residents, and emergency personnel.

Faculty Appointment: Opportunities for faculty appointments are available at the Creighton University School of Medicine and the University of Arizona School of Medicine in Phoenix.

Licensure Requirement: A candidate must hold a valid psychologist license in the State of Arizona prior to commencing employment.
