Your Contribution

The Vice President of Asset Management and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the performance of Everstory Partners' portfolio. This position involves managing the entire lifecycle of company assets, from acquisition and operations to maintenance and renewal. Collaborating with operations management, the VP will implement an effective capital investment strategy and lead the FP&A team, providing direction and hands-on oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

Asset Management

  • Utilize field management insights, industry analysis, accounting, and financial assessments to evaluate operations, business strategies, capital investments, marketing plans, and strategic options.
  • Contribute to the formulation of a comprehensive capital expenditure budget and oversee its strategic allocation.
  • Develop and present recommendations to the Executive Committee regarding both short- and long-term strategic initiatives for the asset portfolio.
  • Stay informed about market trends impacting the death care sector, particularly in relation to supply and demand dynamics.
  • Monitor the operational performance of assets to ensure optimal return on investment; establish a grading system to rank assets and collaborate with field leadership to finalize these rankings.
  • Work alongside field leadership to assess inventory requirements by location and devise a deployment strategy.

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Prepare investment summaries and provide recommendations for significant expenditures, presenting findings to the Board, bondholders, and potential investors.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for operational, general and administrative, cash flow, and field budgets.
  • Develop a strategy for documenting and inventorying heavy equipment at various locations.
  • Oversee a team responsible for financial analysis and reporting; mentor the team to identify issues proactively, allowing for timely adjustments.
  • Support the field operations team during monthly review calls, quarterly business assessments, and union negotiation analyses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in asset management or a related field, demonstrating a successful track record in enhancing asset performance across a multi-state portfolio.
  • Experience with development, site acquisitions, and existing property acquisitions is essential.
  • Strong understanding of financial terminology and principles, with the ability to conduct complex financial analyses.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and problem-solving abilities in multifaceted situations.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, capable of maintaining effective professional relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and familiarity with property management software.
