Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team at Johns Hopkins University. As a Senior Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive, accurate histories and physicals, including chief complaint, presenting signs and symptoms, and past medical history.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, x-rays, diets, physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or other services when delegated by a supervising physician.
  • Maintain technical proficiency with approved procedures, including suturing, wound care, and orthopedic care.
  • Prescribe and regulate medications, evaluate outcomes of previously implemented interventions, and arrange consultations and referrals as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Certification by the NCCPA or similar national certifying body
  • Completion of a CAAHEP certified Physician Assistant program
  • Licensed as a PA in Maryland or other state where practicing
