We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) courses at our institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, evaluating student progress, and maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.
Responsibilities- Teaching and Evaluation
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to promote academic success.
- Assist students with individualized instruction and support to ensure they meet course objectives.
- Lab Management
- Prepare and maintain the EMT lab to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and supplies to ensure they are in good working order.
- Professional Development
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative instructional strategies.
- Education and Experience
- One year of experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), paramedic, emergency room registered nurse, or physician.
- Certification in the state of Arizona as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic (EMT-P), registered nurse, and/or physician.
- Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of Emergency Medical Technician principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
This position is performed in a classroom and/or lab skills area. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
