Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at Kapili Services, LLC in Washington, DC.
Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
About the RoleThis is a 100% on-site position that requires strong expertise in engineering Windows and Linux operating systems to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support personnel, applications, and appliances employed to maintain regulatory compliance;
- Install, configure, and tune operating systems, third-party applications, and security patches;
- Troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and databases;
- Work with systems hosted in a complex, multi-layered network;
- Implement cybersecurity controls, manage IT infrastructure, monitor resources, and alert for potential issues;
- Collaborate with SAN, Enterprise backup solutions, and fault-tolerant technologies;
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field, or four to seven years of experience in information technology;
- IAT level III certification (CASP, CCNP, CISA, CISSP);
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Working knowledge of multi-platform engineering, planning, coordinating, and executing patch management operations;
- Strong experience with centrally managed Linux and Windows systems patched through automated processes or manually as needed;
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable with most aspects of operating system administration;
- Understanding of end-user operating systems, server operating systems, virtualization, and middleware;
- Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts;
- Ability to write scripts in administrative languages like TK, Perl, VBScript, PowerShell, etc.;
- Knowledge of cybersecurity control implementation, IT infrastructure management, resource monitoring, and alerting;
- Knowledgeable with SAN, Enterprise Backup solutions, and fault-tolerant technologies;
