Job Title: Behavioral Health Therapist

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will provide comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for mental, emotional, behavioral, addictive, and developmental disorders and disabilities.

Job Highlights:
  • Department: BH Outpatient
  • Sign On Bonus: $10,000
  • Starting Pay: $28.36
  • Shift Differentials: Available for night, weekend, and additional shifts
  • Location: St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis

This position will cover all 3 programs (Brief Treatment & Geriatric IOP at SMSL and Adolescent IOP at St. Clare).

Responsibilities:
  1. Provides comprehensive assessments and diagnoses using specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills for potential admission, including telehealth assessments.
  2. Develops a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan and goals for the patient and provides psychotherapy, group, and family therapy if applicable.
  3. Collaborates with other members of the multidisciplinary team, as appropriate, to develop treatment goals for the patient.
  4. May participate in multidisciplinary patient care conferences discussing information obtained from patient assessments, updates, treatment plans.
  5. Provides appropriate documentation of all pertinent information obtained in interviews, consultation with other healthcare professionals, referrals, contacts, and supportive services provided to each patient.
  6. Completes necessary documentation and reporting in accordance with departmental standards and Federal and State regulations.
  7. Provides direct clinical supervision to interns and assigned staff.
  8. Performs discharge planning.
  9. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Behavioral Health or related field
  • No experience required
