Job Type: Part-Time Flex, 8-hour Evening Shift

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Brockton Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Collects relevant patient health data and analyzes it to determine nursing diagnoses.
  • Develops and implements a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
  • Evaluates and documents the patient's progress toward attaining expected outcomes.
  • Provides nursing care to assigned patients, including administering prescribed medication and intravenous solutions in a safe manner.
  • Reports significant alterations in patient condition to the physician.
  • Counsels, educates, and includes patients and their families in accordance with the overall plan of care.
  • Assists patients and families in coping with stress accompanying illness and offers solace and support to the dying.
  • Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
  • Reflects knowledge of current professional practice standards, laws, regulations, and changes in healthcare delivery in daily practice.
  • Acquires and maintains current knowledge and competency in the care of patients.
  • Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and other healthcare providers as colleagues.
  • Makes decisions and takes actions on behalf of patients in an ethical manner.
  • Collaborates with the team, consisting of patient, family, and healthcare providers, in providing patient care in a healing, humane, and caring environment.
  • Uses clinical inquiry in practice.
  • Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning and delivering patient care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Meditech experience.
