Job Summary

The primary role of the Mechanic/Electrician I is to work as a key maintenance team contributor to support company objectives with respect to maintaining equipment to support production requirements using strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, be able to work with internal and external customers, and be comfortable working independently as part of the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup, repair, install, and maintain machinery equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance duties, including cleaning, inspecting, and testing equipment
  • Assist in the diagnosis of electrical and mechanical malfunctions in machinery and equipment
  • Identify and report the need for repairs/major repairs to Maintenance Management
  • Effectively communicate with other departments in a professional manner to communicate on equipment and repair status
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Basic computer literacy, including the ability to go online and conduct basic searches
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure
  • Experience working with manufacturing equipment, including 3 phase motors, control wiring, and pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge of and ability to comprehend and troubleshoot production machinery
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to long periods of standing/moving, working around moving mechanical parts/conveyors, loud environments, hot/cold, wet/dry conditions, and frequent reaching/pulling/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending.
