Job Title: Clamp Truck Operator

Join Pratt Industries, America's 5th largest paper and packaging company, as a Clamp Truck Operator in our Cedar Hill, TX facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining the clamp truck, ensuring efficient production and high-quality products.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate the clamp truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Learn to read converting lineups and mark buttrolls with accurate information.
  • Unload rolls from trailers and rail cars, checking for damage and noting any issues.
  • Complete daily inspection reports and turn in maintenance work orders as needed.
  • Keep the warehouse organized and clean, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Turn in roll stock tallies to supervision or the Scheduling Department.
  • Maximize equipment utilization by operating at available capacity and speed.
  • Assist the conversion operator as instructed by supervision.
  • Maintain the wastewater treatment facility and monitor inventory levels of starch and chemicals.
  • Read related MSDS and respond to emergency chemical spills or skin contact.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior work experience in the converting industry is preferred.
  • Prior industrial power truck or heavy equipment operating experience is also preferred.
  • Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
  • Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy and calculate figures and amounts.
