Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Equipment Systems Application Engineer to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our construction sales team, you will play a critical role in supporting the pre and post-sales activities for building systems and HVAC equipment project opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and guidance to account executives during project design and proposal phases.
  • Assist in developing customer business cases for conceptual solutions and support detailed estimating of projects.
  • Validate assumptions made during the proposal and development phase, and build detailed cost estimates and scope of work for assigned projects.
  • Prepare customer proposals, quote letters, and other communication documents, as well as assist with design work required.
  • Manage project Profit & Loss (P&L) of all assigned projects, utilizing the Johnson Controls equipment order execution process.
  • Verify approval submittals, configuration acceptance, and coordinate factory equipment order process to ensure technical and commercial compliance with contract documents and site requirements.
  • Effectively communicate project progress, including financials, to all management teams with a need-to-know.
  • Review and process all invoices for payment related to assigned projects, and work closely with the operations team to address any billing or collection issues.
Requirements
  • BA or BS degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Writer, and basic Windows operating system environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering or Construction.
  • HVAC equipment knowledge.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and AutoCAD.
