Job Summary:

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanic - Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on heavy equipment, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Conduct safety inspections on equipment to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks efficiently
  • Document all maintenance activities and repairs in a timely and accurate manner

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical training in heavy equipment maintenance preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, with a focus on diesel engines and hydraulic systems
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as troubleshooting techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds or more and work in a variety of environments, including indoors and outdoors
