Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Class A CDL Delivery Truck Driver to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for safely transporting food and food-related products to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products to customers.
  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip safety checks, including inspections of the tractor, trailer, and cargo, to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo, including heavy lifting and stacking of product cases and freight.
  • Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collect payment from customers, as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 6+ months commercial driving experience.
  • High school diploma/GED or state-approved equivalent.
  • Valid CDL A.
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
