About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team at Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems. As a Heavy Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring that our equipment is well-maintained and safe for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues
  • Use diagnostic equipment to research and complete repairs
  • Complete preventative maintenance repairs, such as replacing or rotating tires and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed
Requirements
  • 2 years' experience with hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses
  • 2 years' MIG and stick welding experience
  • 2 years' automotive electrical experience
  • 2 years' diesel engine repair experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach
  • Ability to lift and move more than 50 lbs. without assistance
