The Retail Store Associate plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our clientele by assisting them throughout their shopping experience.

This position is responsible for upholding the store's ambiance through timely and precise product organization, merchandising, and inventory management.

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:


Support the mission of Goodwill by providing courteous and professional assistance to customers on the sales floor.

Ensure the store environment is maintained with accurate product placement, merchandising, and inventory control.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  • Efficiently organizes, stocks, and merchandises products in accordance with store standards.
  • Monitors inventory levels while assisting customers with fitting rooms or secured merchandise.
  • Communicates effectively with management regarding merchandise levels, merchandising standards, supply needs, and process improvement suggestions.
  • Places products and supplies in designated areas following store guidelines.
  • Delivers outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and alerting management to customer concerns or additional support needs.
  • Familiarizes oneself with Goodwill's promotions and services to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Maintains store standards to ensure a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for all customers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous retail or production experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with varied hours.

  • Manages downtime effectively by working independently and responsibly.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sales information.

SENSORY DEMANDS:

  • Capable of moving safely throughout the store.
  • Able to stand, bend, and reach for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • Ability to grasp and handle merchandise.
  • Capable of visually observing merchandise.
