Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists with dispensing medication and healthcare products to patients
- Receive and process prescription and refill requests from customers and clinics
- Maintain accurate patient records and profiles
- Operate the pharmacy computer system and perform related tasks
- Stock and take inventory of department merchandise
- Assist with maintenance and stocking functions in pharmacies with automation
- Properly handle outdated and damaged products
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
- Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, pharmacy laws, rules, and guidelines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
The physical demands of this role include standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and moving up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate is also required to bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
