Key Responsibilities- Therapeutic Environment:
- Oversee the daily operations of the therapeutic environment to ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere for clients.
- Monitor and maintain a high level of interpersonal relationships among clients and staff.
- Program Schedule:
- Manage the daily program schedule, ensuring that all activities and events run smoothly and on time.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure that all parties scheduled to participate in activities do so.
- Facility Management:
- Supervise and monitor the facility to ensure cleanliness, security, and safety practices are in place.
- Conduct regular fire drills and evacuations as needed.
- Administer breathalyzer tests and/or observe urine or oral specimen collection from clients as needed.
- Conduct facility/safety runs and room checks to ensure a safe environment for clients.
- Conduct physical searches of clients as outlined by policy.
- Review internal and external scheduled client appointments and ensure that trips are dispatched promptly.
- Distribute carfare for external appointments.
- Review the selection of appointment escorts for appropriateness.
- Coordinate daily client reporting of attendance in accordance with DSS/HRA protocols and agency policy.
- Comply with 42 CFR confidentiality and HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
- In the absence of the Food Service Staff, monitor the kitchen and food preparations to ensure compliance with the Board of Health.
- High School diploma or Equivalent
- Some work experience, either paid employment or internship, or expressed interest in working with substance use or mental health population or lived experience
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of techniques for identifying and preventing potentially violent behavior, including crisis management techniques
- Competency in written, interpersonal, verbal, and computational skills to present and document records following program standards
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing substance use treatment programs
