Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced House Manager to join our team at LESC. As a key member of our residential program, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Therapeutic Environment:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the therapeutic environment to ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere for clients.
    • Monitor and maintain a high level of interpersonal relationships among clients and staff.
  • Program Schedule:
    • Manage the daily program schedule, ensuring that all activities and events run smoothly and on time.
    • Coordinate with staff to ensure that all parties scheduled to participate in activities do so.
  • Facility Management:
    • Supervise and monitor the facility to ensure cleanliness, security, and safety practices are in place.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular fire drills and evacuations as needed.
  • Administer breathalyzer tests and/or observe urine or oral specimen collection from clients as needed.
  • Conduct facility/safety runs and room checks to ensure a safe environment for clients.
  • Conduct physical searches of clients as outlined by policy.
  • Review internal and external scheduled client appointments and ensure that trips are dispatched promptly.
  • Distribute carfare for external appointments.
  • Review the selection of appointment escorts for appropriateness.
  • Coordinate daily client reporting of attendance in accordance with DSS/HRA protocols and agency policy.
  • Comply with 42 CFR confidentiality and HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
  • In the absence of the Food Service Staff, monitor the kitchen and food preparations to ensure compliance with the Board of Health.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or Equivalent
  • Some work experience, either paid employment or internship, or expressed interest in working with substance use or mental health population or lived experience
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR
  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of techniques for identifying and preventing potentially violent behavior, including crisis management techniques
  • Competency in written, interpersonal, verbal, and computational skills to present and document records following program standards
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing substance use treatment programs
