About the Role

This co-op/intern position is designed to provide students with real-world experience in the medical device industry. As an intern, you will be responsible for assisting in various stages of design and development, from conceptualization to execution.

You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and develop your skills in electrical/mechanical engineering. Our team is committed to providing guidance and mentorship to help you succeed in this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and development of electrical systems and components used in RF coils.
  • Develop models, schematic diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
  • Support in testing and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Design and model mechanical components.
  • Create technical drawings and simulations.
  • Contribute to prototype development, including testing and evaluation.
  • Assist operations in building RF coils and components.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting PCB boards and cables.

Requirements:

  • CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN AN ACCREDITED ASSOCIATES, BACHELOR'S OR MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAM IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY, OR A RELATED FIELD.
  • STRONG ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE AND RELEVANT COURSEWORK IN ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY.
  • PROFICIENCY IN ENGINEERING SOFTWARE (AUTOCAD, SOLIDWORKS, MATLAB, OR SIMILAR TOOLS) IS PREFERRED.
  • STRONG PROBLEM-SOLVING, ANALYTICAL, AND ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS.
  • EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION AND TEAMWORK ABILITIES.
  • ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY AND MANAGE MULTIPLE TASKS EFFECTIVELY.

Salary: $25/hour (estimated annual salary: $52,000)
