Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Elias Law Group LLP is a mission-driven law firm dedicated to helping Democrats win, citizens vote, and progressives make change. We are seeking a Litigation Attorney to join our team in Washington, D.C. or Seattle.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prosecute and defend cases involving voting rights, redistricting, and the First Amendment
  • Work on high-pressure, fast-paced cases that offer a rewarding opportunity for lawyers who want to use their litigation skills to protect democracy
  • Take significant responsibility for cases and skillfully move them forward
  • Supervise and direct more junior attorneys and staff
  • Work collaboratively in a challenging and fast-paced environment
Requirements
  • Meaningful litigation experience
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Strong oral presentation and client-facing skills
  • Meaningful experience in state or federal court litigation
  • Commitment to a team mentality and the mission of ELG
Work Environment

The position will operate on a hybrid schedule in a professional office environment and is expected to work in office at least three (3) days a week. Travel is required.

The ability to work additional hours beyond the normal schedule may be required, especially around relevant election dates or filing periods.
