Job Title: Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer

Dewberry Engineers Incorporated is seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer to join our team in Nashville, TN. As a key member of our Water and Wastewater team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining process instrumentation and control systems for water and wastewater treatment plants.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement control system designs for water and wastewater treatment plants, including specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with process engineers to develop Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and ensure accurate and efficient system design.
  • Provide technical guidance and quality oversight for all project work involving instrumentation and controls, including code review and approval of documentation.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of instrumentation and controls engineers to ensure high-quality work and efficient project delivery.
  • Establish and improve standards, practices, and guidelines for instrumentation and controls engineering to ensure consistency and excellence across projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • 7+ years of experience in water and wastewater instrumentation and controls, or equivalent experience in industrial, chemical, or mining industries.
  • Strong knowledge of control system networking and experience with SCADA, PLC, and DCS systems.
  • Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills for effective communication with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
