Orthopedic Nurse Residency Program

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Orthopedic Department at UnityPoint Health. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and provide high-quality care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position working on the 3 West Ortho unit, where you will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and individualized care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
To be considered for this role, you must be a newly licensed Registered Nurse with less than six months of acute RN experience.
