Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to professional nursing standards.
- Provide effective medication administration and delegation of patient care activities.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and promote effective team functioning.
- Utilize Health First computer systems for order entry, order inquiry, and patient care documentation.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary plans of care based on current evidence-based practice.
- Document all nursing care, changes in condition, response to therapy, treatments, procedures, and referrals on patient records.
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
- BSN required.
- Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement.
- AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card and ACLS certification.
- Ability to speak and understand written and verbal instructions in English.
- Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks.
- Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate patients/equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment with patients/families at various ages and levels of understanding.
- Ability to concentrate on multiple priority activities.
- Ability to respond appropriately to life-threatening situations.
