Industrial Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team at the California State Government. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical systems, including automobiles, light duty vehicles, motorcycles, and equipment such as mowers and chainsaws.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose problems and determine the extent of repairs or adjustments needed for various types of vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain, adjust, repair, rebuild, and overhaul operating systems and components, including engines, transmissions, and other critical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and other critical components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
