Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance programs for equipment, pumps, valves, plumbing fixtures, and product fillers
- Repair and interpret electrical schematic blueprints on processing equipment
- Use and install programmable controllers
- Inspect and repair refrigeration and cooling systems and equipment for proper operation
- Replace or repair small non-ammonia refrigeration equipment
- Use hand and power tools, and shop tools in the performance of duties
- Oversee the loan of tools and equipment
- Inform the Creamery Manager of any plant problems
- Purchase needed supplies
- Occasionally direct the work of others
- Requires the use of advanced shop mathematics, together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, handbook formulas, all varieties of adjustable measuring instruments
- Broad training in a recognized trade or craft
- Equivalent to a complete accredited, indentured apprenticeship or equivalent to high school plus a 2-year technical college education
- Over 2 years up to and including 3 years effective experience
6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Days Off: Saturday, Sunday
Additional RequirementsThis position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
