We are seeking a highly motivated Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician to serve as the Chief of Occupational Health at our esteemed Washington DC, VA Medical Center. With a strong background in occupational health, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to our employees.

This leadership role requires a seasoned professional who can effectively manage and supervise a team of medical providers, while also chairing the Occupational Health Committee and developing policies and procedures. You will be instrumental in maintaining employee surveillance and infectious disease prevention programs, and may have opportunities to travel to other VA sites and CBOCs.

As Chief of OH, you will be responsible for the overall functioning, supervision, and clinical operation of the Occupational/Employee Health Section program at our medical center. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining Medical Center Policy and Procedures for Occupational/Employee Health Program
  • Participating in Medical Center committees and administrative assignments
  • Representing Occupational/Employee Health Program in interaction with other services and programs
  • Providing adequate professional supervision and direction of Occupational/Employee Health Services Staff
  • Providing for efficient, cost-effective operation of the Occupational/Employee Health Services program
