Job Summary

The Gastroenterology Specialist will provide specialized care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders at a major hospital. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of GI conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide inpatient and outpatient GI procedures at a major hospital.
  2. Work with an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) who will handle consults, follow-ups, and phone calls, allowing the specialist to concentrate on procedures and rounding.
  3. Round with the APPs and attest to their notes.
  4. Perform outpatient procedures on weekdays only (no weekends); typically, 6 outpatients per day.
  5. Manage 10-12 inpatients per day.
  6. Start at 7 AM and end around 5 PM most days.
  7. Take night call from home, with rare emergent procedures requiring hospital presence.
Work Schedule Options
  1. Option 1: 7 days on, 7 days off, full 24 hours each day.
  2. Option 2: 7 daytimes on, 7 days off, no nights.
  3. Option 3: 5 days on each week, including nights.
  4. Option 4: 5 daytimes on each week, no nights.
Qualifications
  1. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
  2. Licensed to practice medicine in Colorado.
  3. Strong clinical and procedural skills in gastroenterology.
  4. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  5. Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
