Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Gastroenterology Hospitalist to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of improving GI health in our community. The Gastroenterology Hospitalist will provide specialized care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders at Memorial Central hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cover one hospital, Memorial Central.
  • Focus on inpatient and outpatient GI procedures.
  • Work with an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) who will handle consults, follow-ups, and phone calls, allowing the hospitalist to concentrate on procedures and rounding.
  • Round with the APPs and attest to their notes.
  • Perform outpatient procedures on weekdays only (no weekends); typically, 6 outpatients per day.
  • Manage 10-12 inpatients per day.
  • Start at 7 AM and end around 5 PM most days.
  • Take night call from home, with rare emergent procedures requiring hospital presence.
Work Schedule Options
  • Option 1: 7 days on, 7 days off, full 24 hours each day.
  • Option 2: 7 daytimes on, 7 days off, no nights.
  • Option 3: 5 days on each week, including nights.
  • Option 4: 5 daytimes on each week, no nights.
Qualifications
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in Colorado.
  • Strong clinical and procedural skills in gastroenterology.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
