About this Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Crane Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Petrohawk Energy. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our platform cranes and gantry cranes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and manage Company records and systems, including SMS interface documents, Risk Assessments, Lifting plans, and QMS.
  • Support the Crane Op Maintainer Focal Point with day-to-day tasks and operate and maintain all platform cranes and gantry cranes.
  • Liaise with the Business Manager or Operations & Maintenance Engineer on Company/personal matters.
  • Ensure equipment integrity by carrying out routine and breakdown maintenance, servicing, and lubrication of all platform Cranes & Gantry Cranes in accordance with Client planned preventative maintenance routines and manufacturers manuals/service charts.
  • Competently operate platform pedestal cranes and gantry cranes under the direction of nominated Client personnel.
  • Ensure planned maintenance programme is carried out as agreed by Operations & Maintenance Engineer and Focal Point, ensuring that all other maintenance work is completed and information is recorded on the Client maintenance management system.
  • Liaise daily with Focal Point and Operations & Maintenance Engineer to advise them of status of on-going work, highlighting any possible problems/concerns.
  • Maintain a log book in each crane for recording lubrication carried out, work carried out, defects list, and any operational problems.
  • Provide a detailed report of any Incident involving Sparrows personnel to the Business Manager, Operations & Maintenance Engineer, and Focal Point within 24 hours of the event.
  • Maintain platform cranes in a clean, tidy, and, where applicable, watertight condition, including cabs, machinery housings, and external surfaces.
  • Participate in platform risk assessment process to ensure that all lifting activities are thoroughly reviewed, and risks controlled prior to implementation.
  • Familiarize yourself with all installation Safety and Emergency Procedures.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as a Heli Deck Team Member.
HSEQ Responsibilities
  • Familiarize yourself with, and follow the Company's Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Management System, and take an active part in the compliance and improvement of the Management Systems.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services, or systems according to the Management System processes/procedures.
  • Follow country-specific health, safety, and/or environmental legislation.
  • Be responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting you while on the Company premises.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Strong IT skills, e.g., Maximo.
  • NVQ Level 3 Trade.
  • Sparrows Offshore Services Stage 3 Crane Operations Certificate (or equivalent).
  • BOSIET/FOET.
  • MIST.
  • HERTL.
  • VHF Radio, MET Observer & DGA.
  • CAA.
  • Coxswain Twinfall.
  • Experience in maintaining cranes.
  • Troubleshooting experience - mechanical/electrical.
  • Basic Hydraulic systems knowledge.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
