Job Title: Therapist/Counselor - Float

Reports To: Program Director

Compensation: $29-36/hour

Northpoint Recovery Holdings, LLC is a growing behavioral healthcare treatment platform treating adults with substance use disorder and co-occurring conditions under the Northpoint Recovery brand and adolescents with mental healthcare conditions under the Imagine by Northpoint brand.

Job Summary:

As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Therapist/Counselor will oversee the therapeutic services provided to a caseload of clients. This individual will act as the treatment plan coordinator for the multi-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of the master treatment plan and the discharge plan for each client.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide counseling, assessments, and group facilitation to individuals and families
  • Coordinate all aspects of direct clinical care from admission to discharge
  • Consult with the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide quality client care
  • Provide orientation and education to clients, families, and others to aid in the therapeutic process
  • Collaborate with assigned clients in the development of written treatment plans; include client and family involvement in assessment, treatment, education, and discharge planning
  • Monitor clients on an ongoing basis to continually assess needs and facilitate treatment and interventions
  • Document clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, diagnostic summaries, and progress charting in a timely manner to assure comprehensive and quality client care
  • Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintain effective working relationships with employees and peers
  • Maintain professional boundaries with clients at all times
  • Oversee and participate in the quality assurance and compliance activities of the facility
  • Provide clinical updates to utilization review and representatives of managed care to best coordinate reimbursement of treatment services
  • Coordinate with community-based providers and referral sources to ensure optimal levels of care and treatment outcomes, post-discharge
  • Case staffing and individual case supervision
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
  • Other clinically appropriate services and special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Must hold an active mental health licensure in the state where treatment services are rendered, at hire and throughout the entire duration of employment
  • Master's Degree or higher in a mental health or social science field from an accredited college or university
  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Counselor in Nebraska
  • Minimum of 1 (one) year experience in a relevant field
  • Ability to work with a diverse population and possess strong interpersonal skills and knowledge required for treating adolescent clients assigned
  • Must hold strong personal boundaries and able to build rapport with patients
  • Must understand and adhere to the ethical standards of the respective licensure governing board
