About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Lead to join our team at Guidehouse. As a Patient Access Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful client relationship and client strategies to ensure quality measures are met for patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Insurance: Accurately collect demographic data and explanation of required documents from patients at the time of registration.
  • Collection and Insurance: Accurately document insurance information and assist patients with explanation and collection of co-payments and self-pay deposits.
  • Operational Oversight: Maintain a positive working environment and high morale that reflects the philosophy of the service area and Guidehouse.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise on-staff personnel and monitor compliance with State and Federal laws and guidelines.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Provide communication of information between staff and other departments.
  • Training and Development: Assist with training of all newly hired employees.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with the administration of the department, including reports, documentation, payroll records, statistical requirements, and other data required.
  • Financial Counseling and Assistance: Provide financial counseling and assist patients with payment options.
  • Account Reconciliation and Merges: Assist with account reconciliation and merges.
  • Patient Escalations: Assist with patient escalations.
  • Support Frontline Operations: Support frontline operations as needed, including staff shortages.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Three (3) or more years patient access experience or equivalent healthcare experience in a hospital/medical/clinical setting.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Previous experience with Health Insurance Programs and eligibility, previous experience with State and Federal financial assistance programs, and knowledge of medical terminology.
