Role Summary
The Psychometrician will play a critical role in collecting and assessing evidence related to the validity of various assessment tools. This position involves analyzing data to ensure high standards of reliability across different testing methods.
The Psychometrician will also contribute to the development of new operational procedures for evaluating student performance, aligning with the innovative MCG 3+ Curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on methodologies and conduct thorough data analyses, interpreting results and communicating findings effectively.
- Execute psychometric evaluations to uphold best practices in the reliability and validity of both new and existing assessment tools.
- Assist in the creation and documentation of technical and operational procedures, along with psychometric guidelines to enhance assessment quality.
- Maintain accurate data for analysis, including the creation of custom analyses and comprehensive reporting.
- Ensure data privacy and integrity by developing secure databases and adhering to data protection regulations.
- Exhibit strong data management skills, with proficiency in statistical software and tools, particularly SPSS and MS Office.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Psychometrics, or a related field, accompanied by five years of specialized experience in psychometrics and assessment methodologies.
OR
A Master's degree in Psychology or a related field, with at least two years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
Certification as a psychometrist is highly desirable.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and various data management software.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities.
Work Schedule and Compensation
Shift: Days, Monday to Friday (flexibility may be required for exempt positions).
Salary Range: $62,300.00 - $79,400.00 annually, commensurate with qualifications.
