Dermatology Clinician Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Dermatology Clinician Scientist to join our team at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. As a member of the Division of Dermatology, you will provide direct and indirect patient care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, conducting ambulatory clinics and performing relevant dermatology procedures. You will also be responsible for interviewing patients, obtaining and reviewing medical history, and determining, prescribing, and implementing treatment plans and/or medications required. Additionally, you will educate patients and promote wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials, resources, and services to patients and their families.

• Direct and participate in quality assessment and improvement activities
• Serve as preceptor and provide bedside training of residents, fellows, medical students, undergraduate & graduate students, nursing staff, and other allied medical professionals in the specialty of dermatology
• Ensure continuing medical education requirements are met
• Participate in department, college, medical center, and university committees and other service activities

Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required. Board certification or eligibility from the American Board of Internal Medicine required; active certification from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) required. Completion of an accredited residency in internal medicine and a fellowship training program in dermatology required.
