Occupational Therapist Position for Student Success

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at ProCare Therapy in Santa Clarita, CA. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive school environment and make a lasting impact on students' lives.

About the Role

This position involves helping students develop the skills they need to succeed academically and socially. You will work closely with teachers, families, and school staff to deliver individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate students' functional, motor, and sensory needs.
  • Implement therapy plans as directed by an OT or COTA.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in one-on-one and group settings.
  • Collaborate with educators and families to create strategies that support student growth.
  • Document therapy sessions and progress to ensure compliance with IEP goals.
Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, you must have:

  • A Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (for OT candidates).
  • A valid California OT license.

Alternatively, for COTA candidates, you must have:

  • An Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
  • A valid California COTA license.

  • Previous experience in a school setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • A passion for working with children and helping them achieve their potential.
