Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures and maintain effective controls over the packing/shipping area.
  • Package products accurately and efficiently, ensuring the material being packaged and/or shipped is correct.
  • Coordinate communications with Inventory, Operations, Purchasing, Scheduling, Accounting, and Program Management.
  • Solve issues quickly, multitask, organize, and operate basic Microsoft software packages such as Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as TCM and UPS software.
  • Maintain a safe, efficient, and clean work environment.
  • Maintain departmental working relationships to achieve total performance requirements, utilizing effective communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
  • Develop the ability to interpret customer-supplied documentation, such as auditing materials.
  • Inventory and cycle finished goods each week.
  • Complete assignments, projects, and other related duties as required by management.
Requirements
  • Experience in Packaging/Shipping or Operational roles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels within the organization.
  • Organized and excellent filing/record-keeping skills.
  • Comfortable working in various plant-level environments.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Familiarity or certification in Forklift operations.
