Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chief Maintenance professional to join our team at Marriott International Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our guests and employees, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair tools, appliances, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including calibrating controls, gauges, and meters, and identifying and addressing potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Order, stock, and manage inventory of parts and supplies, and maintain accurate records of purchases and usage.
  • Inspect tools, equipment, and machines to ensure they are in good working condition and make repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers and other technology.
  • Operate power lifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Complete life safety checks, including fire-pump run tests and generator run tests, to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assist in the development of disaster response protocols and respond to guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with management to hire, train, schedule, evaluate, counsel, discipline, and motivate employees.
Requirements
  • Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
  • At least 2 years of related work experience and 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, sitting, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
